REM Live

The purpose of the REM live range Electrical Safety Products is to provide a WARNING OF THE PRESENCE OF ELECTRICITY.

The person performing the work in the isolator or control panel cannot fail to see the flashes immediately upon opening the enclosure door and therefore receives the warning that the equipment still has a potentially lethal condition.

We supply the following models:

 


The REMLive Micro

RemLive µRL-1: ‘The Micro-RemLive’ RemLive MRL-1:  ‘The Mini-RemLive’ RemLive RL-4:  ‘The RemLive’
Fits through the front door of the panel and has dual purpose of

Verifying correct isolation to technical personnel and machine operatives
Warning all non-technical personnel in the vicinity

24 – 1000 volts DC
24 – 750 volts AC
50 Micro-Amps maximum

operates in the same way as the RL-4 but is only
applicable in single-phase applications

Aimed at providing warning to technical personnel

24 – 600 volts DC.
24 – 420 volts AC.
3mA maximum

fits inside a control panel or switch and gives
Visual indication of the presence of electricity

Aimed at providing warning to technical personnel working inside the panel

24-1000 volts DC.
24 – 700 volts AC.
5mA maximum

Health and Safety Executive

Electrical incidents in Great Britain - Statistical Summary

Statistics provided by The Health and Safety Executive reveal that in Great Britain, over a four year study, Injuries to workers involving electricity were:

  • Fatal - 147
  • Non - Fatal Major - 2051
  • Injuries requiring 3 days or more off work - 4309
  • Total incidents reported - 6507

The Health and Safety Executive estimate that only just over 40% of non-fatal accidents are actually reported.

From the figures above it can be seen that, on average, incidents were:

  • A fatal injury every 10 days
  • 10 Non fatal Major injuries every week
  • 20 injuries requiring 3 days or more off work every week
